Tournament Information

August 20-23, 2009 Tag-a-Tiny Tuna Tournament
This will be the second year for this tournament and will be designed as a north shore / south shore shootout! Last years tournament was a huge success, raising over $10,000 for Dr. Molly Lutcavage at the UNH Large Pelagics Lab. Great fun and great cause. Entry Fee:

$200.00 entry fee for all entrants
Boat size categories include: 26 ft and under (small boat), over 26 ft (large boat), charter boat
All entrants receive 4 meal tickets per boat for ending night, sponsor gifts, a tagging kit, and t-shirts

Guidelines

- Major recipient: UNH Large Pelagic Program
- Boats to tag and release (preferably)
- Kill is allowed per NMFS regulations, only largest dressed weight giants qualify
- Three prizes awarded for most fished tagged in each boat category
- Prizes awarded based on largest giant caught in each boat category
- Grand Prize awarded to the Shootout Grand Champion, whoever tags the most fish during the tournament
- All boats will be expected to have date time stamped photos available for inspection by judges for all fish entered in the tournament
- Photos will be requested by the judges in the event of any dispute
- Decision of the judges shall be final
- All participating boats will be entered into the final raffle drawings regardless of catch and tagging results
- No area exclusion, however participants must choose whether to be North or South Shore participants
- Participants are not required to be present at any events and will still be eligible for prizes and raffles

Fishing Tournament
Friday - all day (begins 12:01 am)
Saturday- all day

Sunday 8.23.09:
Grand celebration dinner: 1:00-5:00pm
